Introduction
We built this carbon fiber oval tube to be a compact workhorse—a halogen heater that delivers serious heat without taking up a lot of space. It’s for engineers who need intense, pinpoint warmth in a tight spot. The kind of machines that run all day, and need a heat source that can keep pace without blinking.
Technical Deep-Dive
That oval shape? It’s not just for looks. It gives you more radiating surface inside a narrow slot, which means heat spreads more evenly and warm-up is faster. Most setups run at 400V, and you can pack up to 2500W into a 300mm length. We chose high voltage on purpose: it keeps the current lower, so wiring stays simple and voltage drop becomes way less of a headache. And the compact build is perfect for retrofits—when you can’t change the machine’s footprint, but you still need serious power.
Material & Design
Inside, a carbon fiber filament runs hot inside a quartz envelope, and the halogen gas lets it stay that way without blackening over time. The oval quartz tube often gets a coating to manage infrared output and keep surface temperature steady, so delicate loads don’t get hit with hot spots. The R7s base is a straight-pin, double-ended connector you’ll recognize from industrial lampholders. It locks in clean, wiring is straightforward, and once it’s in, it stays put—even with shop-floor vibration.
Application & Benefits
This tube is made for work that needs heat, fast—and controllable heat at that. Think plastics processing, packaging sealing, and other manufacturing steps where every second counts. That high heat density means quick response, but it also means the rest of your equipment needs to be ready for the thermal load. Give yourself room for cooling and clearance—this element throws off real power. If you need a drop-in replacement that delivers predictable heat without a major redesign, this carbon fiber oval tube is the practical, field-proven way to get the job done.
