We built this 640mm, 2600W infrared carbon heating lamp for one reason: to give industrial machines a heat source that hits hard, fast, and exactly where you need it. It was born to replace those bulky halogen-style heaters. You know the ones—they take up too much space for what they deliver. This one packs serious power into a slim tube, so you get intense heat without the extra bulk.
What’s Under the Hood: Power, Voltage, and Size
That 2600W rating isn’t just a number we pulled out of thin air. It’s the sweet spot for getting a ton of heat into a 640mm space. The payoff is a heat pattern you can count on, covering your target area evenly. And that 640mm length? It gives you a long, consistent hot zone, but it’s still short enough to slip right into the standard spots where your heaters live now. Voltage is a big part of the story. We set this lamp up to work with industrial power—either 230V/240V or 400V. Go with the 400V version, and you’re looking at lower current draw for the same power. That means you can use smaller wires and keep the terminals cooler. But here’s the catch: you absolutely have to match the lamp voltage to your control panel. If the line is too small, those connections will run too hot, and that’s a problem you don’t want.
The Build: Carbon, Quartz, and the Details That Matter
The heart of it is a carbon filament, sealed inside a tough quartz tube. Carbon gives us a broad, steady infrared output that holds up over time, as long as you run it within its rated specs. The quartz tube? It can take the heat and handles the shock of rapid on-off cycles without cracking. Then there are the ends, where the lamp meets your machine. We built them for real-world mounting. You’ve got choices like R7s and SK15. The R7s gives you a secure, two-contact fit that locks the tube in place and keeps it perfectly aligned. We go with SK15 when the machine layout calls for a different shape or a different wiring angle. Even the coating is there for a reason—to manage surface temperature and keep the tube from getting contaminated in a gritty industrial environment. That helps prevent hot spots and keeps things running smoothly.
Where It Shines and How to Get It Running
This lamp is for the machines that need heat fast and steady. Think plastic processing, coating curing, or any stage where the target has to hit temperature quickly. The 640mm length and 2600W punch give you high heat density, which means shorter cycle times. Installing it is straightforward. Match the voltage, make sure the socket matches (R7s or SK15), and ensure your mounting hardware can handle the tube expanding as it heats up. For a lot of fixtures, it’s a straight drop-in upgrade.
